My name is Samantha Glover and I am an art and broadcasting teacher at Big Lake High School as well as the One Act co-director and Musical Director! I am a newbie to the community but have enjoyed getting to know the big and bright personalities.
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
I love a good a liquid so shoutout to Ember Coffee Company and Grind Nutrition for their delicious and nutritious drinks.
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
2022-2023 will be my 3rd school year!
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
Every school day I am blessed to work with interesting personalities. I couldn’t pick just one. They all keep me on my toes.
Q: Do you have any pets? If so, what are they and what are their names?
The best cat in the midwest, Baby. There is no comparison. She is top tier.
Q: What advice would you give to people living in Big Lake?
Community is so important. Sometimes its hard to put aside our disparities but it’s important to do so when we have people in need.
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
To visit every National Park in the United States.
Q: What is your favorite current or former business in our community?
Coborn’s is a lifesaver everytime I need anything!
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I love how despite how “small” the school is how many options there are for students to explore and express themselves. The school does a great job at providing opportunities for students to find their niche.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Teaching in Big Lake maybe with a small property with some acreage. I would love some chickens.
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
My family was in the military for the first part of my life so I lived in various places including Italy for 3 years.
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My coworkers, my friends, my family, my students. *Warning-Corniness ahead* I am on a journey of being the best version of me I can be.
