I grew up in Monticello and married my High School sweetheart from Big Lake. Tim and I will be married for thirty years this September. We live in Becker and have three children, Logan, Gage and Ellie. I enjoy traveling, riding horses, snowmobiling, spending time at the lake, hiking, sports, staying active and busy. I started working at Big Lake Middle School 22 years ago, 7 years ago I was moved to the High School working as the Activities Secretary.

McPete’s, Pizza Factory and No.1 China
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I have worked at Big Lake Schools for 22 years.
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
There has been too many to name over the years, but John Bruns is one that has been a pillar of the community. Teaching and coaching over all these years. Great role model for all ages. Compassionate, caring and so involved. Stand up guy!
Q: Do you have any pets? If so, what are they and what are their names?
Currently we have two horses, Izzy and Bailey, and my son’s dog Hugh. Miss my chickens!
Q: What advice would you give to people living in Big Lake?
Get involved with the community with activities, volunteering, and visiting different establishments. Don’t forget to enjoy the Lake!
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
Travel to all ends of the world!
Q: What is your favorite current or former business in our community?
McPete’s – Played volleyball there for many years. They have much to offer besides bowling, horseshoes, and Mini golf.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
Big Lake – great place to enjoy the water, beach, play volleyball. Great trails and view around the lake as well.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
I am guessing you will see me still working at Big Lake Schools 5-10 years from now! Hoping to retire…someday!
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
To be on Survivor, but have only applied once! I have a fear of public speaking and cameras!
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My kids and hubby.
