I have lived in Big Lake for most of my life. I attended Big Lake Schools K-12 and continued my education at Dunwoody Industrial Institute and received a AAS Degree in Printing and Graphics. I work in Pre-Press at Absolute Print Graphics in Edina and have been there for 30+ years. I am involved with Girl Scouts, being a GS Leader for 20+ years for two separate Troops. I am also a member of the Big Lake Women’s Auxiliary
For fun, I bowl on the Monday night Women’s League at McPete’s and love to go to Twins Games, movies, concerts and the theater.
Anyone who knows me can tell you that I love cows, Bon Jovi and Star Wars!
When my kids are in a sport, I am their biggest fan and try to go to as many games, meets, tournaments as possible.
I recently became a grandma and love every minute of it!
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I have 3 amazing children: Ashley – 28, Devon – 23 and Jaxon – 16 and my beautiful Granddaughter Evelyn.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I have lived in Big Lake for most of my like, we moved here when I was 2 years old.
Q: Who is an interesting person in our community that you’ve met and deserves to be included in The Faces of Big Lake project?
Betty Wold, I have known Betty for most of my life! She is an amazing person.
Q: Do you have any pets? If so, what are they and what are their names?
We have 2 cats – Jasmine and Aladdin, a dog – Winnie and Mushu a fish. We have a Disney theme going on!
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV Shows?
I love movies! There are so many to choose from, but I am a huge Star Wars nerd! For T.V. General Hospital and Survivor are my go to.
Q: What is your favorite holiday? Favorite season?
Halloween and Christmas are my favorite holidays. Fall is my favorite season.
Q: What advice would you give to people living in Big Lake?
Go out and enjoy what Big Lake has to offer… Lakeside Park, The Wildlife Refuge, Community Parks, Walking Trails, etc. There is so much to do here!
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
I would love to go to Australia someday.
Q: What is your favorite current or former business in our community?
I will forever miss Russel’s, Gwashy’s and Wally’s, my new favorites are Ember and Cocoa Maas!
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
Spud Fest!
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
I will be an empty nester by then, maybe I will get to check that trip off of my bucket list!
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
Friday is Oldies day! I love to listen to 50’s music on Friday, it makes me happy.
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My Children. They are my everything!
