My name is Molly Drossel. I am the owner of Cocoa Maas, the local chocolate shop.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I am the youngest of two children. I have a small family and are very close knit. I have one child, Gavin. He is 12.

Q: How long have you lived and/or worked in Big Lake?
I was born and raised in Monticello so I didn’t stumble real far from home! I moved around a bit through college and the years shortly there after and settled in the Maple Lake area. Then in 2013, we needed a little bit bigger house and yard and ended up choosing Big Lake. After losing my job during Covid, I decided to open my business here too.

Q: Tell us about your current, past, or future career.
I currently own Cocoa Maas, the local chocolate shop. I went to school for interior decorating and spent most of my career working for Hunter Douglas window treatments. I loved that job but it was eliminated during Covid. My mom used to make chocolate that everyone raved over so I decided to give that a try and the rest, as they say, is history!
