Hello! My name is Ashley and I am truly humbled by this honor! I am a wife, mom, and small business owner here in our beautiful town of Big Lake. I am married to the man of my dreams-my very best friend. I have boy/girl twins that just turned five years old which I am absolutely stunned about! How does five years fly so quickly?! I am also the owner of Two Cute Boutique-our town’s only children’s boutique in town offering newborn-14/16 sizing, toys, accessories and all the mom and family themed pieces made and designed by other small family/mom owned businesses.
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My family is my whole entire world! Immediate family consists of my Husband and our 5 year old twins -boy/girl twins-best of both worlds!-and our chocolate lab Kota. I said immediate family as we are extremely close to our parents-siblings and even grandparents.
Q: How long have you lived and/or worked in Big Lake?
Our family has lived in Big Lake and surrounding areas for about 14 years
Q: Tell us about your current, past, or future career.
First and foremost I am “Mom” and then after that I am the owner of your local childrens boutique “Two Cute Boutique.” The store was named after my twins-thus the two spelling- I try and create a safe place for people to bring their children with no stress-literally let them run or cry I wont judge its all white noise to me as a fellow mom. I want a space where you can wander and have a free space to have kids with you or be kid free. Need someone to vent your kids chaos too?-we can laugh and cry together till we are called home!
Q: Have you ever had a nickname? What is it and why were you given it?
Honestly no-I never had a fun name that could be shortened or anything from an inside joke that stuck

Q: If you could only eat one food/meal and have one beverage for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Caramel Cooler-#CaribouLife I also love Chinese food!
Q: What are some of your favorite hobbies or pastimes?
I grew up riding and showing Saddlebred Horses-but now its just trying to keep my house from looking like the game of jumanji
Q: What is one thing on your bucket list?
ooooh-this one is difficult however I think as we get older we attempt to get things paid off so our older lives mean more traveling
Q: What would you buy/do if you won the lottery?
I’m a financial kinda person-any and all debt would be paid off first haha
Q: What has been a challenge you have had to overcome? (Life, School, Work, etc.)
Being a small business owner is so rewarding yet so extremely stressful. Shopping small businesses truly does mean the world to us!
Q: If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Have more time in my day-is that something to change about myself? haha so much to do so little time
Q: Who has been a hero in your life?
My parents-being who they were and raising me to be the person I am today
Q: What is something even your family and friends may not know about you?
I hope my children grow up to be respectful and hard working for everything they have in life

Purchasing my first home at a very young age

I am biased but Two Cute Boutique of course! I also LOVE PS I love you, French Twist, Groom My Friend, Haven Books, Grind and gosh the list could go on and on and on our small business community is truly a one of a kind tribe!
Q: What is one of your favorite things about Big Lake?
The community of amazing small business owners who all support one another in all different ways
Q: What advice would you give to people living in Big Lake?
Wander-find new businesses-support small businesses-try new foods-take in all of the beauty our town has to offer!
