Hello, my name is Kaylei Schneider and I am a Fifth grade teacher here in Big Lake. I am 25 years old and I have been teaching here for 3 years. My family consists of my Fiancé, Andy. My two dogs, Nala and Abby and my three cats Hazel, Harvey, and Hank. I am a foster for Ruff Start Rescue and a huge advocate for animals. I have fostered over 25 cats and kittens in the past two years! In my free time I love to go fishing, go on walks and hangout with both my friends and family. I grew up here in Big Lake and moved to Elk River when I was in 5th grade.

This is my 3rd year working in Big Lake.

Currently I am a Fifth grade teacher, I would love to eventually open up my own local animal rescue!

I don’t have a favorite movie but my favorite show is criminal minds.
Q: What are 2 things you never leave the house without?
I never leave the house without my phone and wallet.
Q: What is something about you that surprises people?
I am the oldest of 9 children

Baked salmon and mashed potatoes
Q: What is one thing your Dream House would have?
A movie theater room
Q: What are some of your favorite hobbies?
I love to fish, go on walks, try new coffee shops and hang out with my friends and family.
Q: What is one thing on your Bucket List?
Travel to Africa
Q: What has been a challenge you’ve had to overcome? (Life, work, school, etc.)
One challenge I had to overcome was going to college while also serving in the Army National Guard.
Q: Who has been a hero, mentor, major influence in your life?
My mom has always been a huge influence in my life, she has taught me everything I know!
Q: What are some of your favorite Big Lake Establishments? (Restaurants, shops, businesses, etc.)
I love Ember coffee and Trails! They have great food and drinks!
Q: What is one of your favorite things about Big Lake?
I love how close of a community Big Lake is!
