I am Allie, a student at Big Lake Middle School, and I favorite animals, friends, and food. I have a few friends in person and their names are Gavin, Ashlynn, and Brady. And they are my world. I have a dog named Fiona, and a bunch of siblings. I love my four wheeler, and climbing trees in the woods nearby. Music is how I make it through all good and bad in my life, along with my friends. At one point I wasn’t as awesome as I’d say I am now, until one year my fourth grade teacher dragged me out of my shell and kind of removed my introverted shell and had just the right encouragement to make me a genius, and I ended the year an advanced student, and still am. With that I try and do the same for others, and usually it works. As my 4th grade teacher, Mr. Halverson would’ve said, I tell them to “GET IT DONE.” But I add a clap for each syllable.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My family is small but big at the same time. I have 3 siblings and a dog, and then my grandparents as well, and I’d consider my close friends family too.

Q: How long have you lived and/or worked in Big Lake?
My whole life! We’ve looked for houses here and elsewhere but nothing seemed to work for us.

Q: Tell us about your current, past, or future career.
I want to hopefully own a small shop in town, maybe similar to the PS I Love You Occasionally gift shop, as I find that place and the shops connected really cozy and just overall enjoyable.

Q: Have you ever had a nickname? What is it and why were you given it?
I haven’t had many nicknames that I can think of off the top of my head, but my friend calls me Sunshine because I’m almost always encouraging them to keep up with their grades even if it’s hard and I’ll help them, and make sure they’re happy the best I can.

Q: What is your favorite TV Show, Movie, Book? (Please list as many as you’d like!)
There’s so many! I love most of Nicholas Spark’s books, and most often the movies that go with it. I also love cartoons whether it’s an adult comedy, like Family Guy, or one targeted at children like Adventure Time.

Q: If you could only eat one food/meal and have one beverage for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Voltage Mtn Dew for sure.

Q: What are some of your favorite hobbies or pastimes?
I really like gaming, art, and I LOVEE listening to music, but most of all; I could sit on a call with my best friend for HOURS and never get bored even if we have nothing to talk about.

Q: What is one thing on your bucket list?
I don’t know. I think all i really want out of life is a nice vacation out of state for the first time with a friend.

Q: What would you buy/do if you won the lottery?
I’d buy the best fourwheeler in the world and get a nose job, and that’s all I need, the rest of the money would go to my friend, Gavin and his mom.

Q: What has been a challenge you have had to overcome? (Life, School, Work, etc.)
I’m not sure, there’s not much I can say that isn’t too personal, I mean I guess losing my little furball, Cinnamon.

Q: If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
My face. I’d die for another nose or bigger eyes.

Q: Who has been a hero in your life?
My friend John, whenever I was crying or something, he’d be on a voice call just making it better. But I also really look up to my papa Dan, he’s a farmer and owner of “Danscapes” and happens to be awesome as well.

Q: What is something even your family and friends may not know about you?
Only one person knows about it, and that’s my friend, and it’s that I have a sack of beans named Doseph.

Q: What is your proudest accomplishment?
My friend, Gavin. I never thought we’d even talk, but now he’s almost my only friend.

Q: What are a few of your favorite businesses / restaurants in Big Lake?
Mc Pete’s, the Cocoa Maas, Willy’s on Water.

Q: What is one of your favorite things about Big Lake?
Downtown Big Lake is the best, from chilling at the beach with friends, to walking in the sidewalks at night. i love how It’s such a small town place.

Q: What advice would you give to people living in Big Lake?
Shop at local businesses, and enjoy the lake. It’s all I have to say.

Q: Who is an interesting person in our community that you’ve met and deserves to be included in The Faces of Big Lake project?
Jolie Skoog, my 5th grade teacher! She’s one of the best teachers I’ve ever had, and her methods of teaching are amazing!
