Tell us a little about your family – parents, siblings, pets, etc.
I have two amazing, hardworking parents – my father, Angel, and my mother, Maricela. I have a younger sister named Isabella and two Yorkies named Hercules and Athena.

What are some of your favorite hobbies, activities, sports, interests?
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, annoying my sister, Isabella, and designing and sewing my own clothes.

Share a favorite school memory from any grade.
My favorite school memory was the experience of being nominated for Homecoming King after only being a Big Lake student since Freshman year. It was a new and fun experience that I was glad to be part of.

Tell us about a favorite teacher, coach, or staff member who had influence in your life/education.
A teacher that has influenced all of my high school years is Mrs. Rotter. She is such a kind and welcoming teacher and one of the first teachers I connected with my freshman year.

What was your favorite subject to study in school and why?
I would say english because the teachers at Big Lake high school made it interesting and fun to learn. Especially since I didn’t enjoy english class before.

Who are you always happy to see and why are you happy to see them?
Tyler Olson, he is like a brother to me and one of the first people I became friends with. He and I are so alike but different at the same time and we are also always there for each other and look out for each other when needed.

What are your plans for after graduation (school, travel, work, etc.)?
I plan to go to St. Thomas University and major in Entrepreneurship. After studying I would like to go into the fashion and clothing industry.

What advice do you have for incoming freshman as they start the high school adventure?
Be yourself and don’t let people decide who you should be and what you should do. Always be your true and possible self.

What has been the highlight of your senior year?
Making memories with my friends before graduation.

Where do you imagine yourself 10 years from now?
Married with kids and focusing on lowering child labor within the clothing industry and running my own clothing brand.

Is there anything you wish you could go back and change?
No, I wouldn’t change anything because I wouldn’t be who I am.

What are you most grateful for?
For my parents that had me at a young age and have always given me unconditional love and support

What is something (or things) you like about living in, and going to school in, Big Lake?
I like the uniqueness of being a Latino in high school and sharing my culture to my friends

Where are your favorite places to eat, hang out, shop, etc. in Big Lake?
I enjoy the wings from Willy’s on the Water and driving around Big Lake with my friends
