My name is Molly and I am the President and Founder of The Wave Youth Center. My husband and I have three children ranging in age from 18-27. I have a passion for serving and meeting the needs of families within our community and have done so in some capacity since moving to Big Lake. I keep myself very busy and I am always working on something new! Outside of my work and my involvement with the youth center you can find me doing homework-working on my Doctorate-almost done, working in my flower garden, cuddling with my dogs, riding my Peloton-I’m a big Cody Rigsby fan, enjoying a new series on Netflix, or something about any kind of mystery on the History channel. My friends and family would describe me as ambitious, creative, spunky, and caring.
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?

That we have a giant spud as a parade float!
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I originally went to school to be a police officer, just had to take the exam, then we had our first child and that changed everything. Then I went to work as a Juvenile Probation officer working in the intensive aftercare unit for youth released from confinement at Lino Lakes Juvenile Detention Center, but left that position when we moved to Big Lake and our family grew.
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My daughter Meghan.
Q: Finally, what 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of Big Lake?
Storms usually miss or go around us, Spud Fest, and that Big Lake-the body of water-is actually very small.
