Tell us a little about your family – parents, siblings, pets, etc.
I have an amazing mom named Suzi who does so much for me and my family. I have a 4 year old Poochon -bichon freese poodle mix- named Roxie. I have an awesome stepdad who does so much for us. I also have a 25 year old sister named Taylor who’s my best friend!

What are some of your hobbies and/or interests?
I love to workout and stay active. I try and workout every morning to start my day off right! I also have a secret expertise at making pasta, and I love to play tennis and run track! I will also never pass up a game of Wii Tennis or Mario Kart.

Tell us about a favorite school memory (any grade)
I think that my favorite high school memory was being crowned homecoming queen surrounded by all my amazing friends and family. The thrill and excitement will never be beaten. I also feel bittersweet towards my last year of being a tennis captain and a track captain.

Tells us about a favorite teacher, coach, school staff member, etc. who made a difference in your life/education (can include more than one and any grade).
Mr. Pelot has helped me through so much than he knows. He is such an amazing teacher and a genuine friend as well. He is always trying to make everyone believe in themselves and he always is there to get me excited to run my races. He’s made such an incredible difference in my high school years and I would not be who I am today without him and his funny dad jokes.

What has been your favorite subject to study in school and why?
Astronomy! This has been my favorite class ever, it was so interesting and of course Mr. Pelot is my favorite teacher ever. He makes his classes so fun and that’s why i actually wanted to go to school and learn in the morning.

What has been the most challenging part of senior year for you?
I would say the stress of college decisions and trying to motivate yourself to keep doing your work to the best of your ability. It does get hard once you are just waiting for the last day of school ever, but I have to keep in the back of my mind that all of my hard work is going to be worth it.

What has been the best part of senior year?
I would say my sports seasons were the best part. I love playing the sports I love with the people that I love. It makes everything so much better and so much harder to say goodbye. Spending time every single day with the people, friends, teachers, and coaches that I look up to the most really just makes my senior year the best year ever.

Have you made any plans for after graduation (additional schooling, work, etc.) and if so, what are they?
I am going to the University of Minnesota Twin Cities to study physical activity and health promotion! I want to hopefully become a physical trainer to help people be the best and the happiest version of themselves.

Where do you see yourself in 5, 10 years? What goals do you have for the future?
I want to have graduated college at the UMN and get my bachelors degree in physical activity and health promotion! I hope to continue to be in a happy relationship, starting a family and with a good enough job that makes me happy.

Tell us a one or two dreams/bucket list items you have for yourself
I want to go to Australia and visit my cousin who moved there a few years ago! I also want to travel around Greece and live my Mamma Mia life.

Are there any classmates who made a positive difference in your life/education that you would like to mention?
Mitchell Hill has really been there for me throughout all my years of high school. He’s such an amazing person and always puts others first. He’s been such a great best friend and I wouldn’t be here today without him.

What are some things you like about our city of Big Lake in general?
It’s a great small community, and I love how it opens up into so many other cities and communities as well!

What Big Lake establishments/businesses/restaurants are your favorites?
I love Caribou so much -I work there- and I’d say my favorite restaurant is going to have to be the Lake Cafe!

What advice would you give younger students as they continue their education?
Don’t worry about what people think of you, and don’t let it affect who you are as a person. You are strong and unique and that’s the best thing someone could ask for!
