Tell us a little about your family – parents, siblings, pets, etc.
My mom Sarah, dad Mike, and brother Garin have lived in Big Lake our whole lives. We have one dog and her name is Belle and two Arabian horses, Blitz and Kahleesi. We all love to go camping and have good adventures together, even though sometimes we don’t get along they are still my favorite people to be with.

What are some of your favorite hobbies, activities, sports, interests?
Some of my favorite hobbies include; competitive horse riding, competitive dance, and hanging out with people I’m close with. I’m grateful I have so many opportunities to pursue things that I love. and it’s always a gift to be with the people who support me.

Share a favorite school memory from any grade.
My favorite school memory was homecoming week this year 2023. i was named on the hoco court which was something i thought i wouldn’t get to experience. it was an amazing week with the other candidates and the school and at the end of the week i was crowned hoco queen with wousn as king. it was truly something out of a book or a movie.

Tell us about a favorite teacher, coach, or staff member who had influence in your life/education. 
someone who has had the biggest impact on my life has to definitely be the big lake dance team head coach kayla kleinstuber, kayla was my coach for the past 5 years while i was on the school dance team, she taught me what it was like to be true leader and how to respect others and myself. she always pushed me to my best potential and helped me when i was stuck or frustrated. she has had a huge impact on my dance career and life and im forever greatful for her.

What was your favorite subject to study in school and why?
my favorite subject to study is history. i really like history and it interests me, im really good at memorizing dates and such names that go along with units we are learning. right now i am in vic world history with mrs. koehler and i love it! it’s challenging but fun!
Who are you always happy to see and why are you happy to see them?
my boyfriend aidan, aidan and i have known each other since we were very little and we were childhood best friends, he’s the sweetest soul and the kindest person to be around. he always makes everyone laugh and have a good time.

What are your plans for after graduation (school, travel, work, etc.)?
my plan after graduation is to attend north dakota state university for nutrition science and dietetics. i will also be trying out for the ndsu dance team this april.
What advice do you have for incoming freshman as they start the high school adventure?
dont wish it away to fast. take your time, and have fun. just do your work and ask questions if you have them!
What has been the highlight of your senior year?
my highlight of senior year has to be every moment i spend with my friends, they bring so much light to my day and i couldn’t imagine what life would be like with out them.

Where do you imagine yourself 10 years from now?
10 years from now i hope i have a good job and a nice place to live and maybe married!
Is there anything you wish you could go back and change?
i wish i could go back and tell my freshman self that everything worked out and it got better
What are you most grateful for?
i’m most greatful for being able to wake up and go to school, see my friends, have a great family, and have an amazing life.

What is something (or things) you like about living in, and going to school in, Big Lake?
i like living in big lake because we are all one community, i feel as if our town if very close to each other, and i like that feel. something i like about our school is our staff, they do so much for us and don’t get enough recognition.
Where are your favorite places to eat, hang out, shop, etc. in Big Lake?
the beach is definitely a big hangout spot! but i like eating at the lake cafe, it’s a classic big lake staple.
