Tell us a little about your family – parents, siblings, pets, etc.
I live with my mom Geri, step-dad Joel, and my step-sister Ashlyn. I have two older brothers, one who works as a mechanical engineer in Appleton, Wisconsin. The other works as a prison guard in Alexandria.

What are some of your favorite hobbies, activities, sports, interests?
I enjoy being in the outdoors whether that is camping, hiking, or just taking a walk. I enjoy weightlifting and gaining strength every day. and I love to be competitive in the sport I love.

Share a favorite school memory from any grade.
There’s too many to choose from so my favorite school memory would have to be meeting so many amazing people the past 18 years of my life.
Tell us about a favorite teacher, coach, or staff member who had influence in your life/education.
My favorite coach, don’t tell coach Shriver, is my offensive line coach Jeremy Ell. I’ve known Jeremy for 4 years now and I remember my first practice freshman year he was there to guide me through the process of learning the fundamentals of football.
What was your favorite subject to study in school and why?
My favorite subject has to be history, or any kind of science. I enjoy visiting the physical places that history brings up. Each lesson was something new that I hadn’t heard of or visited and I love learning about my home state and it’s past.
Who are you always happy to see and why are you happy to see them?
My grandparents, Glenn and Gwen Johnson. I always love helping them out with jobs around their home or just having our conversations about my studies and what I’m up to each week.
What are your plans for after graduation (school, travel, work, etc.)?
After graduation I plan on attending Gustavus Adolphus College to major in Geography with an emphasis on GIS. While at Gustavus I was given the opportunity to play college football, and I will be singing in their chapel choir. 
What advice do you have for incoming freshman as they start the high school adventure?
Take it one day at a time. There’s no need to get overwhelmed with your homework or things out of your control. Also try to get into an extracurricular. Either a sport of some kind of club.
What has been the highlight of your senior year?
So far my highlight of senior year is earning my Eagle Scout award and finishing my Eagle project for a non-profit called Compassion Connection based out of Becker. Being able to bring the Hornets out first football win in years is a close second
Where do you imagine yourself 10 years from now?
In 10 years I can picture myself living in the area with my family, supporting my spouse and children with my career. I wish to teach my kids all the skills and abilities I learned through Boy Scouts as wel
l.
Is there anything you wish you could go back and change?
I wish I had no regrets, but that’s just not the case. I wish I could change my study habits. I often found myself ignoring my homework up until the deadline or the night before.
What are you most grateful for?
I am most grateful for being near my family and close relatives. I was blessed to live right next-door to my cousins and we always spent out summers taking family camping trips together to each state park.

What is something (or things) you like about living in, and going to school in, Big Lake?
I enjoy the connections I have made from being at the school for after school activities or sports. Our community rallies together and I love when I walk into a store like grind nutrition and I know each person there.
Where are your favorite places to eat, hang out, shop, etc. in Big Lake?
One of my favorite places to stop at is Ember coffee. I find it to be a great study spot and the coffee and food is phenomenal as well.
