Tell us a little about your family – parents, siblings, pets, etc.
I live with my mom and dad, Liz and Kyle. I also have an older brother, Ethan, who is almost 21. For a long time we had 2 dogs, Zara – a Golden Retriever and Punky – a rescue mix. But, now we have 4 living with us. When my grandma passed away my mom took in her Miniature Dachshund – Arnie and when my brother moved home he brought his rescue dog, Stormi. I’m not a huge fan of so many dogs and the dachshund and I have a love-hate relationship.

What are some of your favorite hobbies, activities, sports, interests?
My favorite sport to play is lacrosse. I have played since I was in 4th grade when Big Lake started a youth program. I continued playing with Big Lake but also started playing with other teams like Frog, Loons, and Grey Duck. Currently I am one of our Captains on the Big Lake-Princeton Huskies Varsity Lacrosse team. Besides lacrosse, I like hunting, winter and summer fishing, golfing, and welding.

Share a favorite school memory from any grade.
One of my favorite memories from school was 10th grade gym class with Mrs. Morton! I loved that class and had Zack Smith in it with me. There is not one single memory from class, I just really liked all of it. My other NEW favorite memory was the BLP lacrosse team beating Becker in our last 3 games and out team winning our first playoff game against Rocori this year.
Tell us about a favorite teacher, coach, or staff member who had influence in your life/education.
My all-time favorite teacher is Mr. Hill. He taught me a lot, but also became a mentor that helped build my interest in the trades.
What was your favorite subject to study in school and why?
My favorite subject was Wood-Working. Woods class was cool and I liked being able to make a cabinet on my own. I really preferred subjects and classes that involved hands-on work the most.
Who are you always happy to see and why are you happy to see them?
I would have to say I am always happy to see Zack Smith. We have been friends since kindergarten when I put him in a headlock in the cafeteria and ended up in the principal’s office. My family just considers him a bonus son and I consider his family an extension of mine. I did tell my mom I’m happy when I see her too, but between her busy schedule and my schedule, we barely see each other!
What are your plans for after graduation (school, travel, work, etc.)?
After graduation I will be attending Lynnes Welding School. I have met with them several times and after touring several colleges for welding, this was the best fit for me. My goal will be to begin working on Pipeline Welding or On Shore Rig Welding.

What advice do you have for incoming freshman as they start the high school adventure?
High school goes by too fast! It’s important to have fun and try not to worry too much about the serious stuff.
What has been the highlight of your senior year?
I think the highlights have been Home Coming Week and Big Lake – Princeton Lacrosse. During Homecoming I had a blast during TP Wars, the football game, seeing my girlfriend, Rylie, get nominated as royalty, and the powder puff game. This year our school varsity Lacrosse team beat Becker in all of our games and we won our first playoff game in history. I loved being a part of the team.

Where do you imagine yourself 10 years from now?
I hope to be married with kids, living in a nice home, and working in the welding trade.
Is there anything you wish you could go back and change?
I really wish I would have been better at saving money when I was younger!
What are you most grateful for?
I’m most grateful for the people around me, including my family, girlfriend, and friends.
Tell us 3 words that describe you now.
