Tell us a little about your family – parents, siblings, pets, etc.
Both my parents, Erik and Lucy, lived in the Midwest while they were young. My brother and I were born in California when my parents moved there for work. We lived in California until 2019 when we moved to Big Lake. We also have 3 dogs and 6 chickens.

What are some of your hobbies and/or interests?
I love basketball, football and pretty much all sports. I like being active and being outside. Fishing and hunting have been activities that have been in my life for as long as I can remember.
Tell us about a favorite school memory (any grade)
My favorite memory was going to Red Wing this year for a basketball tournament and staying in a hotel with the team. We won all of our games and ate a lot of good food.
Tells us about a favorite teacher, coach, school staff member, etc. who made a difference in your life/education (can include more than one and any grade).
Coach Blanchard, who coached me in football and track, was a big impact on me. In my sophomore year he told me to come try track and I was very hesitant but I ended up going. Fast forward and now I’m going to do track in college.
What has been your favorite subject to study in school and why?
My favorite subject in school been Biology. There was always something that seemed to grab my attention in class.
What has been the most challenging part of senior year for you?
The most challenging part of senior year was figuring out where I was going to college.
What has been the best part of senior year?
The best part of senior year is the light load of classes. For me it has been the least stressful year with a flexible schedule and easier classes.
Have you made any plans for after graduation (additional schooling, work, etc.) and if so, what are they?
I am attending UND in the fall and studying business.
Where do you see yourself in 5, 10 years? What goals do you have for the future?
In 10 years my goals are to have a good job that I enjoy doing and to be starting my family.
Tell us a one or two dreams/bucket list items you have for yourself
I want to travel all over the world at some point in my life. Going to Africa is at the top of that list.
What are some things you like about our city of Big Lake in general?
I like the community and that it’s a small town with plenty of businesses and restaurants.
What Big Lake establishments/businesses/restaurants are your favorites?
My favorite restaurants in Big Lake would be Cambo Flare and Willy’s on the Water. They both have very good food and customer service. I also go to El Teca barbershop which does a great job cutting hair.
What advice would you give younger students as they continue their education?
My advice would be to stay organized in school and to stay ahead of your grades.
