Tell us a little about your family – parents, siblings, pets, etc.
I live at home with my mom and dad – I’m the baby in the family. I have two older brothers and one older sister -she’s the oldest. I also have 2 cats, Annie and Milo, a dog named Captain, and four ducks and two chickens.

What are some of your hobbies and/or interests?
I love anything farm related! Animals, operating equipment, etc. I volunteer my spare time on a farm across the street from my house. I’ve been doing this for 4 years now and I plan to keep doing it. I love plants, gardening, houseplants anything!

Tell us about a favorite school memory (any grade)
One of my favorite memories is from kindergarten when we hatched baby chicks in our classroom and we got to hold them!
Tells us about a favorite teacher, coach, school staff member, etc. who made a difference in your life/education (can include more than one and any grade).
One of my favorite teachers is Mrs. Michelle Rotter at the High School. She is kind of like my “school mom”. I can talk to her about struggles in my life and she gives me awesome advice to help cope. We also have many things in common that we talk to each other about and give advice to each other. Sewing, plants, etc.
What has been your favorite subject to study in school and why?
I would have to say any of the FACS and art classes.
What has been the most challenging part of senior year for you?
Getting registered for college!
What has been the best part of senior year?
Not having many core classes and more electives, and also looking forward to graduation.
Have you made any plans for after graduation (additional schooling, work, etc.) and if so, what are they?
I’m planning on attending Hennepin Technical college – Brooklyn Park campus – for Landscape/Horticulture and to get my Associates Degree.
Where do you see yourself in 5, 10 years? What goals do you have for the future?
I will be working in a greenhouse, graduated from college, and will have a management position.
Tell us a one or two dreams/bucket list items you have for yourself
Get a Corgi, which is my dream dog, and have my own house.
Are there any classmates who made a positive difference in your life/education that you would like to mention?
I would like to thank Brielle Eckhardt for being by my side and listening to my drama.
What are some things you like about our city of Big Lake in general?
I grew up here since day one. My brother and I used to bike around town when we were kids and everyone here is friendly. Big Lake, to me, is the center location because you’re surrounded by everything and everything is local. Cities like Monticello, Coon Rapids, Saint Cloud are all just a hop, skip, and a jump away.
What Big Lake establishments/businesses/restaurants are your favorites?
I love “The Buff.” They have super good food and the staff is really friendly. “Ember Coffee” is my go-to coffee place and I will choose to keep supporting their business. When we order pizza for dinner our favorite place to order from is “pizza factory.”
What advice would you give younger students as they continue their education?
Ask anyone and everybody when you have questions and do what you want to do and what you love to do – make time for yourself outside of school.
